From the simple to the complex and back
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER
ZeroPlus Contemporary Dance Workshop announces entry into the 2nd and 3rd trimester of its training program “Journey to the Center”. We await the applications of those who are 18 years old or older and who are already advanced in their dance studies.
The training is recommended for all those who would like to study in a concentrated and systematic way and for those who prefer a versatile approach in the performing arts. The training can also be useful for those who want to continue their education in a higher educational dance institution in the future and want to prepare well for this.
You can choose from the following set of modules:
CONTEMPORARY SOMATIC DANCE (8 January, 2018 – 24 June, 2018)
Days of School: Monday, Wednesday 9.00-12.15
Classes: Awareness, contact improvisation, improvisation, composition, Alexander/Feldenkrais/Body Mind Centering
8 Jan, 2018 – 28 March, 2018 (12 weeks)
9 April, 2018 – 24 June, 2018 (11 weeks)
CONTEMPORARY DANCE TECHNIQUE (9 Jan, 2018 – 24 June, 2018)
Days of School: Tuesday, Thursday 9.00-12.15
Classes: contemporary dance, ballet, floor barre, Graham, Pilates, repertoire
9 Jan, 2018 – 29 March, 2018 (12 weeks)
10 April, 2018 – 24 June, 2018 (11 weeks)
There will be one course for beginners:
CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUE FOR BEGINNERS AND FOR BEGINNERS+ (12 January, 2018 – 24 June, 2018)
Days of School: Fridays 9.00-12.15
Classes: contemporary dance, ballet
12 Jan, 2018 – 24 March, 2018 (11 weeks)
6 April, 2018 – 24 June, 2018 (12 weeks)
WEEKEND TRAINING (13 January, 2018– 24 June, 2018; 23 weeks)
Days of School: Saturdays 9.00-12.30
Classes: contemporary dance, ballet
Terms and fees:
13 Jan, 2018 – 24 March, 2018 (11 weeks)
7 April, 2018 – 24 June, 2018 (12 weeks)
It is possible to enter these terms separately however we encourage you to complete the full course in order to get the most out of the curriculum offered. The more terms you take the less you have to pay. What is more the modules can be combined with each other in which case a (further) reduced tuition fee applies.

In addition to the above, students also learn excerpts of Zero Ballet’s pieces, they will be given compositional tasks, will create short solos, duets, etudes and take part in a demonstration at the end of the year.
The training takes place in a small group of minimum 4, maximum 10 participants whom will be chosen via a video audition.
The application should contain your professional CV and a short motivation letter. In your CV please list your previous studies and include links to videos of you.
